Note: Book early! There will be room for only seven (7) participants in this workshop!

DATE: Saturday, May 10.

COST: $15 members, $20 non-members.

BOOKINGS: Bookings are essential as there are only 7 places. Phone (02) 6772 7210 or send an email message to admin@newc.org.au. Alternatively call in at the office during opening hours.

Please note:To hold your booking, you must pay before April 26 and also submit your synopsis before that date. NEWC won’t be able to accept cancellations or new bookings after this date, as Kate needs time to read the synopsis for each participant before the event..

Kate Forsyth

Kate Forsyth wrote her first novel at the age of seven, and is now the bestselling, award-winning author of 26 books, translated into 14 languages.

Kate’s latest book for adults, The Wild Girl, tells the unknown love story of Wilhelm Grimm and Dortchen Wild, who told him many of the most world’s most famous fairy-tales.

Her most recent book for children is Two Selkie Tales from Scotland, beautifully illustrated by Fiona MacDonald.

Kate’s other books for children include The Gypsy Crown, The Puzzle Ring, and The Starthorn Tree.

Kate has told stories and taught writing all around the world, from Scotland to Singapore, Chicago to Chichester, the Greek Islands to Fiji. A direct descendant of Charlotte Waring—the author of the first book for children ever published in Australia—Kate is currently studying for a doctorate in fairy tales at UTS.
